Headwinds and tailwinds exist today for hopeful emerging managers. Overall, the degree of difficulty of raising a VC or PE fund is unquestionably higher than it was a several years ago. Some of the attributes LPs look for are: track record, team, fund strategy, terms, etc. Despite the fact that the bar is higher, there still exists substantial capital from active allocators.
Listen to LP insights from Mina Pacheco Nazemi, now head of co-investments at Barings Alternative Investments, former Managing Partner of Aldea Capital and formerly a partner at GCM Grosvenor/CSFB, who dedicates her time to investing in underserved markets and investing with women and diverse managers. She has also been a champion for emerging managers and has structured and invested a number of impact investment vehicles on behalf of large institutional investors including some of the largest pension funds in the US.
This event is for Women VCs who are Funding Partners, Managing Directors, General Partners and Principals. This is a bi-monthly event to be held at Neiman Marcus in Palo Alto to create a Women VC Community of congeniality, collaboration and support, while delivering relevant content on topics that elevate.
