Ms. Drexler brings technical / engineering capabilities, coupled with business vision and entrepreneurial experience, to the executive suite and the board room. She has been an active board member for public and private medical device and diagnostics companies for over a decade. Ms. Drexler also has extensive management experience. She founded and ran Amira Medical until its sale to Roche Diabetes Care. She managed a variety of functions across the company at LifeScan and executed the sale of the company to Johnson & Johnson.
Ms. Drexler was named Female Entrepreneur of the Year by the Stevie Awards, 2013, and Entrepreneurial Woman of the Year by Silicon Valley Women’s Fund, 2002.
In addition to her corporate board roles, Ms. Drexler is active in Astia (www.astia.com) and Springboard (www.sb.co), nonprofit organizations that support female entrepreneurs. She is a Founding Member of Astia Angels.
A Guest Lecturer at Stanford University in Medical Device Design and Mobile Health curriculums, Ms. Drexler also provides team support and mentoring for the Stanford Biodesign Fellowship and StartX, an off-campus Stanford Accelerator. Ms. Drexler is on Princeton University School of Engineering, Advisory Board for the Keller Center for Innovation in Engineering Education.
A native of New Jersey, Ms. Drexler received her MBA from Stanford University and her BSE in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University. She and her husband Andy, a fellow Stanford MBA, reside in the San Francisco Bay Area.
